Duke of Edinburgh's International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award enables students to take full advantage of the diverse opportunities offered by Peter Carnley Anglican Community School. The Award is designed to be an individual challenge based on the unique interests of each participant in the areas of Physical Recreation, Skill, Service and an Adventurous Journey.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award experience is different for everyone, but it is guaranteed that students who undertake the Award will:

  • Be challenged
  • Step outside their comfort zone
  • Have adventures and learn about new passions
  • Help others
  • Build confidence, resilience, and employable skills
  • Discover that they are capable of things they didn't dream were possible

The Award can be used towards a students' achievement, and will appear on their WACE (Western Australia Certificate of Education) Certificate if they complete the Bronze Award or above.
