Last week, our Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable camp experience filled with adventure, teamwork, and personal growth.

Over the course of several action-packed days, students participated in a variety of exciting activities, including high ropes, low ropes, rock climbing, team-building challenges, treasure hunts, and water-based fun. On-campus activities included games driven by Year 10 Peer Support Leaders, an epic obstacle course, and an academic challenge. Each activity encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, work together, and develop new skills.

Mornings at camp started with hearty cooked breakfasts, giving everyone the energy needed for the day ahead. A highlight for many was the delicious homemade muffins and giant scones, which quickly became a favourite treat among both students and teachers. Evenings were just as thrilling, with friendly competition in glow sports and an exhilarating spy game where students attempted to outwit their teachers and avoid being captured!

A special highlight of the week was Wednesday’s excursion to Outback Splash, where students had the chance to meet and connect with the other half of the Year 7 cohort. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they zoomed down water slides and showed off their skills in mini golf.

Beyond the fun and adventure, camp provided students with the opportunity to challenge themselves in new ways. Whether it was sleeping away from home, climbing higher than ever before, or making new friendships, each student walked away with valuable experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Teachers also enjoyed the chance to bond with their Pastoral Care Groups and support students in embracing new challenges.

Thanks go to all staff who attended camp in all capacities, including those who supported the on-campus activities. Year 7 Camp was an incredible success, and we look forward to seeing the friendships, confidence, and teamwork skills developed over the week continue to grow throughout the school year!
