The Year 5s have come back from camp with plenty of stories to share after an incredible three days away, packed with adventure, teamwork and unforgettable memories. The theme for the Camp, Expand your Paradigm, encouraged students to step outside of their comfort zones and try new experiences.

Throughout the camp, students participated in a range of exciting activities, including abseiling, tackling the climbing wall, testing their balance with the crate climb, and soaring through the air on the ‘Big fox’ flying fox! They also enjoyed the building of their rafts, kayaking and the mud fights – all providing plenty of teamwork opportunities.

Beyond the adventures, students took responsibilities serving each other at mealtimes, and helping with the dishes. Mornings were spent with high spirits, dancing to the song “5,6,7,8” before departing to their activities, while evenings were spent relaxing and enjoying movies, with Space Jam and SpongeBob being crowd favourites.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and parent helpers who made this camp possible. Their support and enthusiasm ensured that Year 5 Camp was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

Here are some of the favourite moments, straight from the mouths of our Year 5s:

  • They gave us directions to follow the path to the Big Fox, and said to go left at the the fork in the road... there was an actual fork stuck in the road!
  • The mud fight was the best! Especially when I got a big mud ball and smooshed it on Mrs Hart's back.
  • The food was AWESOME!
  • Singing Happy birthday to Ellah, Josie and Aurora was SOOOOOO loud!
  • Dancing to 5, 6, 7, 8 twice every day!
  • When Ms Butler got people to run laps if they weren't sleeping!
  • Seeing my mum when I got back from camp- I gave her the biggest hug!
