On Friday 14 June, Peter Carnley Anglican Community School celebrated its Annual Founders’ Day with enthusiasm and community spirit.

Founders’ Day celebrates the origins of the School and pays recognition to those who played a part in the development of PCACS. A highlight for the Junior School students was their Colour Run, held on the afternoon of Founder’s Day, raising funds for All Saints School in Samoa.

Leading up to the Colour Run, excitement was high as Junior School students eagerly tracked the fundraising efforts. Each week, they awaited updates on the tally, cheering on their classmates and classes as they competed to raise the most funds. In the end, their collective efforts paid off impressively, raising a total of $3880.

The funds raised directly benefited the students and staff at All Saints School in Samoa.  They were used to provide essential cooling options for their classrooms, which lacked basic amenities like fans. During the recent holidays, two Year 10 students from PCACS went on a Service Learning trip to Samoa and used these funds to purchase fans for installation in the classrooms, making a tangible difference in the lives of the students and teachers at All Saints School.

This year’s Founders’ Day not only celebrated the School’s heritage but it also showcased its strong community spirit and commitment to global awareness through
meaningful action and support.

At PCACS, Belonging is one of our core values – fostering positive relationships, embracing diversity, and celebrating differences. Our Service Learning programme enriches our school community and empowers our students to make valuable contributions to the global community.
