Last night, the highly anticipated Carols on the Green event was the perfect evening of festive cheer, music, and celebration. Families, friends, and students gathered on the oval, sharing in the Christmas spirit.

The event kicked off with our Year 7 $20 Boss Markets, showcasing a fantastic array of stalls that demonstrated the hard work and entrepreneurship of the students. From dog treats and cupcakes to handmade bracelets, fidgets, and upcycled tote bags, the market offered something for everyone. The Year 7 students did an incredible job organising and running their stalls, adding a unique and personal touch to the event.

As the sun set, the focus shifted to the main event—the carols! A variety of year groups, choirs, the school band and individual performers took to the stage, showering us with a mixture of old classics and modern carols. The performers, who had been rehearsing for weeks, gave it their all, creating a memorable evening for everyone.

In addition, the event hosted a successful raffle in support of Anglicare with 3 hampers from YMAD as well as generous donations from The Hon. Roger Cook MLA and The Hon. Reece Whitby MLA. This raffle was a real hit, drawn by Santa, adding an extra layer of joy with winners walking away with fantastic prizes, knowing that their support was helping the Anglicare WA Christmas Appeal.

Carols on the Green was a resounding success, thanks to the hard work of students, staff and the PCACS P&F committee who made the event possible. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, music, and service during the Christmas season. Special thanks to all of our students, families and friends who supported this event.

Here's to more celebrations like this in the future!
